1. .....Meanwhile, I thank you and your colleagues again for organizing such a marvelous conference, reunion, and celebration. It was absolutely great. I was delighted to reconnect with several of my old friends from the IIT/K faculty, KIAP visiting faculty, and students of the late 1960s -- and also to make a bunch of new friends. I also really enjoyed meeting some former KIAP visiting faculty who were at IIT/K before me or after me. And I also really appreciated the perspectives on IIT/K's current status, and the outlook and diverse plans for its future. All of the conference sessions were excellent. I know that organizing such an event requires a huge coordinated effort over many months, so I really appreciate all that you all did to make this happen. 2. Dear All,
   The Golden Jubilee convention of IITK held in DC on July 9-10 was as memorable for the super-annuated Faculty as their stay in IITK. All our remembrances of the Ole Era flashed in front of our mental screen like a dream-video. It was wonderful to meet our good old friends and colleagues as well as students who are flourishing in their careers academic as well as social. We the faculty are indeed extremely grateful to the Alumni Association for organizing such an event, an event which will remain in our heart for all the remaining time of our lives (and careers for some). I personally feel extremely fortunate to have been a part of IITK for 31 years (1966-97) wherein my personal as well as academic development took place. Indeed, my decision to accept faculty position in IITK proved to be so vital and I thank Almighty for it.
   I once again thank ALL of you for working so hard to see that we were all very comfortable before, during and after the Convention.

3. Dear All: I am not sure if I have included those all those whom I should address in expressing my thanks for a very enjoyable couple of days at the Golden Jubilee Celebrations. My wife and I were able to reminisce with friends we had not met for ages times at IIT K which were the best in our lives.

The Alumni Convention in Washington DC aims to showcase and celebrate IITK's 50 years of contributions to the academic ecosystem, industry and enterprise in India and the USA. On this occasion, IITK would also like to honor and thank the collaborations and contributions of the US government and other institutions toward its creation and success. Looking into the future, the convention aims to explore emerging opportunities to extend this symbiotic relationship between US and India on globalization of Education, Energy & Environment, Life Sciences and to launch the KIAP Foundation.
